Community Safety Notice: Recent Incident Near Padres Isidoro

Unfortunately, last week there was an incident in our neighborhood that we should all be aware of.

While walking home alone from school on Padres Isidoro, a middle schooler was approached by a man unknown to her. The man was looking into a construction truck outside of a home under renovation, stopped the child, and said the truck "looked suspicious" before offering her a ride home. Thankfully, the student got home safely, but this is an important reminder to talk with the young people in your life about how to handle situations like this.

Here’s what we know:

• The man appeared to be in his 40s, possibly Hispanic

• He was driving a black mid-sized car or small SUV

• The incident occurred around 2:30 after school dismissal

If you see anyone or anything suspicious, please contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Office or call 911 immediately.
