Shed Policy Update

We’ve had several inquiries about the rules for sheds in our neighborhood. To help, here’s a quick overview of the committee-approved shed policies. If you’d like to do something different, we can submit your request to the committee for review.

To streamline the process, we’ve created an online shed application form: Shed Application Form. Our Architectural Committee reviews each submission promptly to ensure compliance with the guidelines and overall aesthetics of the community.

Key Points of the Shed Policy

  • Shed Variety: Metal, vinyl, and wood/composite sheds are allowed. Any other materials must be approved by the committee.

  • Style and Color Scheme: The shed should match the style of your home and blend with the desert environment. White or other high-contrast colors are not allowed.

  • Setbacks: Sheds must follow the setback guidelines in our CCRs and should ideally be located behind the house, out of prominent view.

  • Foundation: All sheds must sit on a foundational pad. Sheds placed directly on dirt are not permitted.

  • Maintenance: Homeowners must keep sheds in good repair so they remain structurally sound and visually appealing.

  • County Guidelines: Sheds must comply with Pima County rules, including obtaining any required permits.
